Hmm, what about something for the Team AnandTech SETI@home team? We always need more stats.

We already have a site http://www.mattzone.com that is automatically updated with the latest stats off SETI's CGI pages (which BTW are down right now ).

It would be really cool if we could have a page that would dynamically make graphs based on user input of who and/or what the person wants on the graphs. It would make for great SETI race watching.

Is that even remotely possible?

Edit: Mattzone already has some basic user graphs, but they don't always work right and only show around a 10 user range, so it can sometimes be hard to watch races if all the people are real close to each other.

I'm sure this isn't the only cool stats thing that could be done, it's just want I can think of off the top of my head right now. Thanks

I doubt it is possible, as I wouldnt know where to start. Any other features you would like to add? Also, if the programmer of that Seti@home page shared his PHP code with me, I might be able to do it. I would love to do it for the fellow members of anandtech.

I have never been involved with Seti@home, could you please explain what you mean by graphs?

The guy who coded that page is nexus9. He isn't real active on the forums, but if you post a thread in the distributed computing forum with his name in the topic, I think he'd probably read it. You could also try e-mailing him at seti@mattzone.com, but I have no idea how often he reads that e-mail address. Could be daily, or monthly.

As for the graphs, I basically mean graphs of the total number of work units a person has, by each day. I have some older ones up at my site in the graphs menu. It takes me a while to do them in Excel, so that's why I'm a few months behind. It would be cool if the person could select the users he wants on the graph, and then maybe the date range he wants the graph to be made for. Oh, BTW, I mean line graphs too. I'm not really sure if there's any other type of graph that would display this data well.

Just had one other idea..it might be interesting if we had bar graphs for a person's daily output, like this example on DNet.

They're blocks of radio data that you crunch though with the SETI client looking for weird signals basically. If you want more stats there are some more at http://orangekid.teamanandtech.com in the right frame.

I am sorry, but I cant do it. It would be too overly complicatd, to do dynamically, and this kind of product is in a niche market. For example, when I am done making a web application for a cerain person, I want to sell it
