This quote was from Bill Madison after he won the spelling bee. That is kind of how I feel right now. I had a 5 page paper that was due on Friday the 15th and an 8 page paper that is due at 2:00 today. The amazing thing is that I finished (except for the intro which I will do here at work) in only 5 hours. The most incredible thing about this is that it is actually good and not a steaming pile of BS. Also, to make this achievement even more meaningful is that this is probably the last paper I will ever have to write. After 7 years of working fulltime and school full time I am almost at the finish line. All that is left for me is to take a foreign language ( which is compete BS but that would be another rant). AND I am leaving for Hawaii in just 4 days and I will be staying there with my g/f for 9 days. It almost brings a tear to my eye to think that this time next week I will be sipping a Mai Tai and watching the sun come up of the water with the girl I love. The only thing that is worring me is what I am going to do with all my spare time? I can't even believe that I won't have to be out of the house for 14 hours a day!

I don't know, after being out in the "real world" for about 7 months now, I've already determined that college was a lot more fun than the crap I'm doing now. Yes, it's nice to have money. But I'd rather be working my butt off for 4 hours a day in college than being bored out of my mind at work for 8 hours a day, like I am now.

<< Congrats man, I'm only at the start of all the BS to be had >>

Let me give you some advice. Get a counselor and stay with the same one for as long as you can. Get their email address and use that to ask question. It can be VERY important to have written documentation on what they tell you that you NEED to do. I probably would have graduated a couple years ago if it hadn't been for really bad counseling. Also, talk to your professors and go to class. I usually do about 1/4 of the assigned readings but I always go to class. The majority of the things that you will get tested on are from lecture.

Ummm, I thought I was! (and by the way, what you are going through right now is a picnic compared to the real world)
