they do in a the more simplistic bohr model but once you get into the quantum model the resemblence kinda falls apart (that's also where I start to get confused.)

Yeah, in they do in the Bohr model.

Like Bignate said, in the more accurate Quantum model the resemblence ends.

even in the bohr model...
for electron jumping...
i just cant see earth shiftings its orbit dramaticaly like that...

the bohr model is wrong. its so far off its like telling children that babies come from the stork instead of the real process.
