The last year has been the worst of my life:

I work for Worldcom, therefore I don't know if I will have a job tomorrow or not, or if I get laid off if I will get severence (they are currently paying severence for the ongoing layoffs). My 401k is worthless. One of the guys I work with volunteered for the last layoff, management told him that they will consider that as two week notice so they won't have to pay him severence. Morale is very low, the company is in major panic mode. With the layoffs, they are piling more and more work on us and making us jump through hoops to justify our jobs. Nobody is talking to anybody anymore, emails get unanswered almost every time, even from management. When I talk to other people, I can tell they're shell shocked also.

Both of my parents have been diagnosed with cancer.

My wife has left me, we are getting divorced. Just wish it would happen sooner.

My boss got fired today (with cause).

The bad stuff just keeps coming in all the time and I am in a constant daze right now.

Time to get a new job, sell the house and move to another state.

This reminds me of the end of the movie "Private Parts". When the credits start some guy, who is "affiliated" with Howard Stern, starts complaining about his role...
