Baffled,

Get something to wedge in place 6 AAA's that you can put in your mouse until you get the AA batteries. Same voltage just smaller and since have less capacity wouldn't last as long as AA's but they should hold out until you get to the store.

Woo hoo! I get those pro-cell batteries for free from work. They are quite sweet I must say.

Nobody asks Baff the really hard, investigative questions here, like exactly what provacatively shaped, "special purpose" devices are eating up all her AA batteries. :Q

Luckily, I believe I've hit upon a brilliant and entirely satisfying solution to Baff's little power outage problem. ;)

I say we shamelessly raid the "Buy Texmaster His Very Own Set of Genitals" Fund, and spend that 47 cents his relatives have collected towards the construction of Tex sized hamster treadmill and cage linked to a generator.

Then we insert that otherwise useless love child of a nearsighted and desperately lonely East Texas poultry farmer and a brutally unfortunate one legged Rhode Island Red therein, and put that beaked, befeathered, would be bully to the first positive output of his mother pluckin' life!

I'm trying to come up with a reply here but I can't because I'm laughing too hard.... needless to say I bought batteries today so the errr ..."special generator you are proposing won't be needed !!!

Buy some good rechargeable NiMH batteries. They last a lot longer, can be reused many times, will save you a ton of money in the long run. Plus, you dont put batteries into a landfill :)
