I am sold...I take back all I have said....

Bought a cheap C450 720P Sammy plasma.

Yeah...I turned it on....the picture was heavenly.

This $400 TV looked leaps and bounds better than my $1K Sony z5100. My gf even noticed it. Although, it took me 3 tries to get one without that annoying buzz.

I wish I have not bought this. I am now pondering selling my LCD to replace with a 50" Plasma....

I've owned a 58" Samsung plasma for 2 years now & it's still an awesome display. Just bought a 42" Insignia (it's actually a Samsung) & it's awesome. Also paid around $400 for mine. It's rated as a 720p display, but actually displays 1080p w/ BR.

I'd go out and buy a b450 in a heartbeat if it weren't for the buzz. I owned a B430 and had to return it after 3 weeks because the buzz was annoying the hell out of me. Picture was way better than my current B550 LCD.

It displays it in 720p. It accepts 1080p input and downscale it to 720p. My panasonic 720p plasma will show the input resolution as whatever it is, ie BR as 1080p, but it still only displays in 720p

Same with my grandparents Samsung.
