Well, some of you probably thought that already! :p

But anyway, I couldn't resist the chance to grab a GF3 Elsa Gladiac 920 at buy.com for $330 with free shipping and went ahead and placed an order. It comes with Giants citizen kabuto which I was thinking of picking up anyway and the game is still going for $30-$40 so I guess that's how I justified it (in my mind I got the card for under my $300 price cap).

The card is backordered so I guess if I come to my senses I can still cancel the order.

I was planning on holding off on the Geforce 3 until my girlfriend and I started talking about our marriage. She wants us to have a videographer in our wedding even though it will cost about $4000 for one. She also wants us to have to kids after we get married right after each other so that they are only about 1-2 years apart. If that's how its gonna be, I better enjoy my computer as much as possible before I can't afford to upgrade anymore. Just don't tell my girlfriend that I got a GF3 or how much I paid for it. She thinks I am not buying anymore computer hardware cause I am saving up for our wedding

youch!! I'm getting married too and we are paying for the wedding ourselves (isn't it fun!?) Fortunately our wedding is about 17 months away so I still have some time to play.. also no kids right away, probably a year or two after the wedding.

I was this close to grabbing a GF3 last weekend at a Computer Show in Buena Park, CA. It was a Visiontek for $344.

I didn't buy it b/c I had already bought other stuff like a Retail Matrox G450 to replace my G400, some additional RAM, replacement inkjet cartridges, another monitor, and a Slot 1 P3 1Ghz proc.

I just bought this GF2 (semi) Pro in April and am already itching for another board. I'll probably get another chance to buy (the GF3). There's another Computer Show in Pomona this weekend.

Computer shows are just scary.... lots of creepy "dealers" that can never be found if you have a problem.
