Don't go to the dealer! Use a regular Jiffy lube type shop for those things. Then look for Mercedes clubs on the net it's the best place to get "what to watch out for info" on different models. Find a good independent mechanic there also.
Yes for an older model Benz, I'd recommend an independent European gargage. See my sig for MB forums. Lots of good advice/tips from fellow MB owners. My next scheduled service will cost $250 bucks. :Q
