Sorry, it's not a pyramid scheme. they actually sell products.

Ok so since they sell a product means they are not a pyramid scheme??? It just keeps this whole operation legal. Lets see how it works:

You are refered by a "business owner". You start your business. You purchase products and the referer gets a kickback. You in turn get other people to sign up and buy products and you get a kickback. Those people get people to sign up.

so that means

1
11
1111
11111111

That is how the business is built. Looks just a like a pyramid. The only thing that keeps this stuff legal is that the parent company Quixtar sells products to people.

Sounds just like a pyramid scheme except the fact that they have actual products. The "business" just involves getting more poeple to start "business" and that is how you make money. If you just buy products you make no money.

I know Quixstar is not illegal but it is a pyramid scheme. All the business involves is getting more people to sign up to make money. It is the same type of thing that A11Advantage did with the pay to surf type of thing. The difference is that Quixtar is selling products. You buy products and you get all your friends to buy products. Then get them to be business owners.

It is all based on getting other people to sign up using you as a reference. It is just a legal pyramid scheme. I don't doubt some people make money off of this. I have read my share of horror stories over the past few hours involving Quixtar.

Quixtar / Amway IS a LEGITIMATE business enterprise and PEOPLE do make money off it.

Multi Level MARKETING is JUST THAT A marketing plan. Instead of advertising on tv, radio, newspapers, email etc, multilevel marketing markets thru PEOPLE. what is wrong with that?? If i find a GREAT product, I tell all my friends about it. Why shouldn't i?? that's the basis of multilevel marketing, are there abuses??

sure, but is it any more abusive than the other forms of mass marketing that we endure every day, Billboards, TV Commercials, Junk Mail, Pop Ups oh the list goes on and on. Are you telling me, those aren't abusive??

Multilevel marketing is no less legal

Also don't rule out temp agencies right away. There are plenty of temp-to-permanent jobs. A good alternative if you are desperate for money at the moment.

I was a temp at a pharmaceutical company doing clerical-type work for a summer. I voluntarily used some of my database skill to help them build a good system that saved them time. Then I had to go back to school for my last semester. They (the company) called me up toward the end of the semester and offered me a full-time position. Point is, without doing the temp-work, they wouldn't have considered me for a full-time job. Unfortunately, I had to leave them for a better opportunity only 3 months after I joined them as a full-timer. BUT without that job (and the experience I was able to put on my resume), I wouldn't have gotten an interview for this one.

Don't put off temp agencies so quick. They often lead to very comfortable positions since many employers can use a contract position to test people out first.
