There's a support group for that. It's called "everybody". We conduct meetings everyday after work at a place called "a bar".

i don't hate my job, but my job can be boring. believe me, it usually is. like this morning, i have been trying to find stuff to do but i just can't. i just have this feeling i want to get knocked out right here on my desk (i'm talking about sleeping). but its funny, the moment i get home i'm not tired. the commute is sure lame.

Monday is "lots of work to do" day here.
I took a pass yesterday and I'm paying for it today.
I'm going to stick a fork in it and go outside and play. I've had enough. :)

my boss is out for 3 days. im still at home now. im already 2 hours late and im still at home on ATOT. should i even bother to go in? :(

i have nothing to do when i go in, im waiting for a bunch of lazy finance fvcks to give me a datafeed. i doubt that would happen this week

then again i'm sure you'll be happy to be 65, retired, and have a whole lifetime of 40 to 50 hour work weeks to look back on and say "yeah, it was worth it, i didnt' wast my life"

least thats how i feel, i just graduated, got a sweet ass job, but i'm quitting in 1.5 years to become an artist or something, i'd rather stave on the streets then waste my life working 45 hours a week.

imho, save up three months pay and quit.

good luck with that philosophy.

not sure if this is sarcasm or not, but whats worse, waste your life wishing you did something, or actually do somwthing with your life that you find meaning in. it just comes down to that question of "what did you want to be when you grow up" and when i think about it, software engineer was no on the list. like most poeple i gave into the idea of "grow up, get job, get married" (though i'm not married yet). so i figure might as well have fun with the little time alive then wasting my days working.

i mean, its a given that things would change cuz i'd have almost no money, but i'd rather take the chance of having no health insurance then just waste my life behind a desk.

I just don't feel like working today.

I'm not going to quit. I'm just not going to go anymore.

What about bills? How will you pay them?

You know, I've never really liked paying bills. I don't think I'm gonna do that, either.

I like my job, but I can only do it for another eight months and then I have to retire and find a contract job somewhere on base (I hope). After I retire, I will probably only work another five years and then I will quit working.
