I just finished my system after saving up and buying parts for the past year. Guess what? NO GAMES that I thoroughly enjoy. UT2004, RoN, AoM, EVE online, SWG--none are doing it for me. What's wrong with me?!?! I need a good game people! Something that has RIDICULOUS replay value! Help.... me....

I have played Age of Empires 2: The Conquerors for the past 2 years. I enjoy what I've played in MMORPG's, except it seems many lack depth.

Ummm.....maybe you're growing up?

BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!

Wait a couple of weeks for Doom? UT and RoN are excellent, so you're not choosing bad games. I'm having a great deal of fun with Joint Ops multiplay. Maybe you need to try an unusual game to freshen things up. I bought Trackmania a couple of weeks ago and that's been pretty cool.

I 2nd the Joint Ops recommendation. If playing with 149 other players isn't good enough replay value then I don't know what is. :) I play it like daily for that reason, the gameplay is just damn fun! UT 2004 is great too.

AOE2 was a great game, but you didn't like RoN??

And you gotta try out Far Cry!

If your new rig is top notch, especially on the graphics card I too recommend Far Cry. Just d/l the demo and check out the graphics your new rig can manage with it.

Some who like AOE also like Praetorians or Warcraft 3.

I liked Star Wars KoTOR. It was a type of game I don't often play, but really enjoyed it and the story.

If you haven't played Sytem Shock 2 yet, try it even though it's an older game.

Google a demo site and check out a bunch of games.

Or, just wait a few weeks for Doom III :)

Warcraft III is always cool. I can just pick it up and play a round or two. I also enjoyed Jedi Knight and am looking forward to getting Jedi Academy.

And yes, I know these games are kinda "old," but I also haven't found any really new games that I like to play often. UT2k4 is ok once in a while, as is CoD. I still play the original Unreal Tournament quite often. To me, that game is the pinnacle of Deathmatch and CTF fun.

I play COD now too, but I'm basically in a holding pattern .

If you like MMORPGs then

Dark Age of Camelot is the best one you can get IMO. I have been in and out of this game for years.

hellzyeah. Awesome singleplayer and even better online.

My gaming time is currently absorbed almost entirely by Warcraft 3 battle.net (single player is worth the price alone however - dont forget the expansion: The Frozen Throne) with Rune and Call of Duty filling in the gaps.

Other worthy games currently holding a place on my hdd: medieval: total war, master of orion 2 (old school), Age of Wonders 2, galactic civilizations

Of course you have Doom 3, Half-Life 2, World of Warcraft, Everquest 2, Kohan 2 (sequel to sleeperhit RTS), Warhammer 40,000, Rome: total war all arriving in the next 6-12 months (some earlier than others ;))

On replay value alone i'd pick Warcraft 3 of Call of Duty up. Warcraft 3 might frustrate online in 1v1 at first, but once the automatic matchmaking service figures out your skill level, you'll find yourself matched with plenty of equally skilled players.

Seriously, buy these games.

I'm not kidding.
