Any HAMs here? I took my element 2 today, and passed with flying colors. Addmittedly, I'm not that into the culture yet, but I'm excited to start using the licence. I needed to get the Technician licence for testing out my senior project (designing and building a 440MHz repeater station for my college). If there are any interested HAMs, I can post the link to the project website (still under construction) so that you can follow my progress!

I took the test about 3 or 4 years ago, and am sad to say I failed...I guess looking at the practice questions really doesn't hurt. I may go for it again sometime, but actually look at what's on the test. What's your call sign?

crap, mine expired last year, I just checked. I took the test when I was 15, that was fun, I bought the study book the night before and aced the test the next day. They make it too easy now that you don't have to learn morse

I studied using the ARRL "Now You're Talking" study guide from my local library. It was a slightly outdated version though (covered up to July 2k3 exams). I don't have a callsign as of yet, I have to wait for them to submit the paperwork to the FCC. I'm hoping for K2WTF :D
