Congratulations! I know you must be button-busting proud, but 9 lbs. 3 oz! Holy Labor Pain, that's an accomplishment . Treat the mother verrrrrry gently. Mine were 5lbs 15 oz and 6 lbs 8 oz and I thought I was giving birth to basketballs - I can't even imagine 9 plus lbs.

Anyway, enjoy being a grandparent!

Proud just doesn't describe the feeling!

Melissa is a diabetic, so large birth weights are common among diabetics.
They had to induce her labor due to complications, so he was actually 3 weeks early!
