Today and tomrrow the makers of Extreme Home makeover will be kinda close taking applications and doing small interviews. As some of you know were screwed. I am recently disabled and will not be able to be produtive in life anymore. I been delt the short end of the stick my entire life and now having my back messed up and living in this sh!ty trailer I am never going to really be able to pull my family and I out of it.
I figured what the hell they are going to be around what a great chance to give them pics of my sh1ty trailer and life story and where we are at right now and see what happends. If I dont go I will be kicking myself in the a$$ the rest of my life. So I tell the wife and kids were going tomorrow and will be gone for awhile doing it. My youngest has no clue but said yes he wants to go. My Oldest after I explained who the were and it was the show I watch every sunday night said yes yes yes I want to go and have a chance to get out of this crap hole.
My wife on the other hand said no she doesnt want to go because they will never pick us because we live in a trailer and they canot help us. Im like so. She replies back have you ever seen them do a trailer or help someone that was in a traler. I said no but it would be different if the show picked us up because it would be different and with my condition and our situation whos to say. I cant say if they will or not but they are 40 minutes away and lets give it a shot.
She still told me she wont go and I at his point told her Iwill fvck up my back worse dragging her out of this house to go. If not for me do it for the kids. They dont need to live like this and this may be our only hope or help we may get but if we dont go how do you expect us to be picked. Also its kinda like a omen because they are so close and will take picture of our house (dont own a video camera) and we get to have a small interview. If we dont get picked atleast I can watch the show knowing I tried my best for my family. So I have to put my foot down, they require the entire family to show up for this and the kids and I want to go so I have to tell you that you must go.
At this point she is pissed at me and says fine I will go but I am not going to talk to anyone there. At this point I was super pissed told her to grow up and think of someone other then yourself and just go for the boys then went outside and smoked to calm down.
Am I wrong? Were bad off right now. I see no way to get us out of where we are at. I want to do this for my family not for me and really they are so close and I get to hand in my papers and get a short interview with the creators I would be stupid to miss the chance. What are some suggestions I can tell my wife other then what I have to make her wake up and see that its not going to come to us. I dont want to be there for hours and wait in line either but damnit its for the family and I will do anything for them why cant she? We have nothing to do. I sit in front of the computer because it is pretty much all I can do and she watches tv so WTF? I am willing to do the drive and wait in line and take the god awful pain I will be subjected through so I am the one who should really be saying no but I will do it for my family.
Anyway RANT!
