the best thing was when Hanson came out at attempt a 54-yarder, got set, and then Detroit was forced to burn a timeout because they were too slow getting guys off the field.

nothing like trying to freeze your own kicker, who also happens to be your lone source of offence at the moment.

it's another sad sad year for Lions fans. :(

Lions FOREVER!! :)

No, but you drop them if they show no commitment to winning.

However, with the removal of Millen maybe the OP can go back to his team. They still suck, but it was a step in the right direction.

Meanwhile, my Rams suggestion is looking better than ever.

I was at the gym running on the treadmill and I saw the ESPN ticker say that Orlovsky was the #5 QB today due to his stats? ROFL.

Also, I haven't really been paying attention to Detroit...have we played Stanton at all? Is he able to play? Despite him being a Spartan, it'd be cool to have a local kid playing. He seemed to be pretty good too, so I'm wondering what the deal is with him.

No, Stanton hasn't been in yet this season.

Most of that was due to one, I have to admit, nice pass to Calvin running down the sideline for a 96 yard TD pass.

After years of disappointment, I am no longer a lions fan.

I am tired of the finger pointing, losing seasons, and miserable play. I am tired of the coaches who mismanage the clock and the game. I am tired of the management who can't draft worth a crap. Most of all, I am tired of the players on the team who don't give it their all. At least Kitna cares about how the Lions do.

Therefore, I am going to root for a new team. A team where the management cares about the players and makes good management decisions. A team where the coaching staff is good and holds players accountable. Lastly, where the players play with passion and hate to lose.

Any suggestions?

Chris, we welcome you to the Chicago Bears Fanclub.

then your not a true fan

Yeah well, if your team was just as shitty and hasn't made it into the playoff's since 1999, you wouldn't be saying that.

Indeed, its probably between the pirates and the lions for the worst professional sports teams in history.

Lions have won 1 playoff game in 50 years. They lost that playoff game in 1999. Think about all those years we had with arguably the greatest runningback in history. Pretty sad when you think about just how bad we have been when we at least had some talent on our team. Now we have Calvin Johnson, and the rest of the team besides Sims probably wouldnt start for any other team in the league.
