After years of disappointment, I am no longer a lions fan.

I am tired of the finger pointing, losing seasons, and miserable play. I am tired of the coaches who mismanage the clock and the game. I am tired of the management who can't draft worth a crap. Most of all, I am tired of the players on the team who don't give it their all. At least Kitna cares about how the Lions do.

Therefore, I am going to root for a new team. A team where the management cares about the players and makes good management decisions. A team where the coaching staff is good and holds players accountable. Lastly, where the players play with passion and hate to lose.

Any suggestions?

then your not a true fan

Yeah well, if your team was just as shitty and hasn't made it into the playoff's since 1999, you wouldn't be saying that.

Try being a cardinals fan. Now quit your whining.

Cowboys or Steelers is a good place to start in terms of historic success as well as recent/current success.

I think you just need to man up.

It could be a lot worse. You could be a Milwaukee Brewers fan. You think 8 years is a lot of terrible play? Try 26 years.

Yeah, because they have been stellar at drafting receivers.

The Brewers played in the World Series in 1982.

The Lions have exactly one playoff win in the past 50 years.

back to back Superbowls like 8 years ago, John Elway legacy, Jay Cutler is developing really well, Brandon Marshall is turning into a top reciever, and probably the best reason and royal is looking like a real good receiver and return man

CHAMP BAILEY...first off he is the best shutdown corner in the NFL right now, he holds the georgia state indoor long jump record, he has had one of the fastest 40 times in the last 15 years (not the fastest but in top 5 or 10) 8 time probowler...seriously pick the broncos

on and my Champ screen name is after Champ Bailey because he is one of my all time heros

The problem with all that say "look at my team they're just as bad" is that I'll bet they have at least changed management so as to try to fix things. There has never, to my recollection, been a team as pathetic as the Lions that has retained a General Manager throughout the downward spiral from mediocrity to utter failure. 8 straight years of declining play has now come to this. They didn't have people on defense that could play Marinelli's scheme so they got rid of them and acquired the cast-offs that nobody wanted that were familiar with the system. What did that do? It took a poor defense and made it terrible.

I hope they go 0-16, and fire Millen, but it'll be a one in a million shot that choose anybody better. Who could have any faith that Ford would find anybody that could turn this mess around? Even if the blind pig found an acorn and hired a good General Manager it would take him years to undo all this.

GO WINGS!

I'm happy that the Lions are in the Packers division. Almost guarantees us NOT going 0-16. I feel for you bud, I really do. But I don't want you to come jump on the Packers bandwagon. Also, the Lions have been in the post-season in that 50 years. The Brewers haven't since 1982 and will continue that trend after this week.

Find something else to get so melodramatically emotional about?
