HK is like the manhattan of the east.

It simply has amazing food, culture, etc.. albeit a bit cramped

bring a couple industrial size cans of raid... I turned down an offer to go to HK with my company like 6 months ago because after reading up on it, I knew there'd be no way I could deal with the bugs (which, according to people I talked with are just a fact of life even with regular extermination) while keeping my sanity.

I haven't experienced any kind of bug problem myself. I've seen the occasional cockroach out in the alley but not in any of the shops, offices, or flats I've been to.

I agree with the summer's unbearable heat factor. When I went to visit in May/June a few years ago, I took 3 showers a day... it really was that bad.
