I am looking for a IT employment agreement template

I am looking for a template of one of those legal documents that employers often have their IT, programmer, or engineer employees sign when they are first employed which basically says that anything they create is legally owned by the company and they are not allowed to make copies of it without permission or sell stuff on the side etc etc etc.

Google is not helping me much since I am not familiar with the terminology that is typically used for this sort of document. I am sure many of you here are familiar with them though. Can one of you help lead me in the right direction of finding a template?

Thanks a bunch

That's what I suggested and that might happen in the future, but for now I am required to submit something. 🙁

Asked HR for ours to send you but it's has company stuff all over it, sorry 🙁

Is it a PDF doc?

If not then would it be ok if you sent it anyways and I modify it?

Actually, don't worry about it being a PDF. I mostly just need a reference that I can modify even if that means reading a PDF and writing mine from scratch. May I PM you with an e-mail address for you to forward the PDF file?

Note: I am not a lawyer.

In the US you typically see offer letters combined with an employee confidentiality, non-compete and non-disclosure agreement. You wouldn't typically have an employment agreement like you'd see in Europe, something to do with our employment laws.

The offer letter should state the annual and (weekly, biweekly, monthly) pay rates, clearly state the formal and known-as job titles,a general statement about being subject to tax, discuss being in an at-will state and what that means (if you are), adhering to the nda and non-compete, some froofy HR stuff about being glad to hire you.

Search for employment nda or non-compete agreement, see if that's closer to what you want as far as protecting your company property.

I have a few templates but I can't send them until I get home. If I get a few minutes I may be able to send them sooner. LMK if you still need them.

Thanks, that helped me find something generic on Google which is a start.

Edited with a bunch of links. Also the keyword "confidentiality" could be added to your search:
Employment confidentiality and non-compete agreement
