I have finally picked Infocus 5700 as my home projector. Any comments on the projector?

Any idea where I can find a good deal on a brand new 5700? Lowest I have found so far is $2999.00 at crutchfield. PriceMad has it for $2500 but their reseller ratings are aweful.

2 words,
Long Throw

We saw 4805 in action and it sucked big time. Then we went to second studio and saw 5700 and loved it :).

Well for the price you are paying theres lots of long throw options... AE700 is long throw, Sony HS50/51 both can be and either one will be better than the 5700. If you want DLP there are a few that will fit the bill as well.

I have considered AE700 but haven't seen it working in person. Seeing is believing.

yep, I am only looking at a couple of authorized resellers.
My requirments were to get 92" image from 15' (+/- 6 inches) away. Sony projector does not meet that requirement. Panasonic and Infocus do meet that requirement.

If Dell.com E&A carries this use a coupon :)

Also Overstock.com has a 15% off coupon with cheap shipping :)
