I watch the show to see the locations though - he's just the host, that's all. If he weren't hosting the show someone else would be.
 
He's the ultimate traveler. Perhaps the ultimate gay traveler (only a mere suspicion), but regardless, I envy him too and love his shows.

On a side note, anyone watch Top Chef where one of the chefs (Howie from Miami) called him out on one of his critique's after one of his dishes wasn't prepared in time? Bourdain said first and foremost, the food has to be 'on time' - that's the primary responsibility. But Howie referenced Bourdain's book where he wrote about how you'd never know when you were going to get your food from the peruvian cooks, but what counted most was you knew they were going to serve it when it was done just right. 😛

Haha, that's right, lol. 😀 He has a good sense of humor. He and Chef Ramsey are similar imo...both can be huge @ssholes but neither are mean spirited and would be cool to have a beer with either of them.

Most of the women I know generally find him attractive. As a guy, I don't know why, but he's pretty tall as well which doesn't hurt. He never mentions women in his show tho...perhaps that's to protect his wife's concerns, and less to do with my suspicions that he might have been gay.

i don't know if you simply haven't seen his show, read his books, or what, but he's the antithesis of an ugly American. he's incredibly respectful of other cultures, eager to learn about them, and even elevates them above American culture - especially American food culture. sure he likes to be mildly offensive at times, but that's typically in regard to vegetarians and Rachel Ray, and other people who deserve to be taunted.

Hi travel buddy Naomi is a hottie. The only shows I ever watch on TV now are No Reservations, Bizarre Foods, Mythbusters, Man vs Wild, and Survivor Man. I'd love his job too. He did an episode where he went to Vancouver and was on Uwe Boll's movie, Far Cry.

I too would like to just do like Ansel Adams or Galen Rowell - travel and take photos. Not easy to make money doing it though. Gotta get kind of a head start on things.

Some day I will open my own studio - hopefully within the next 5 years.

I'm curious what makes you think he's gay? I have read KC, watched plenty of his shows, seen interviews etc. I can't see anything gay about him. Are you like those women who throw the "slut" word around about strangers? Is this some sort of response mechanism? Serious question.
