I am in BIG troubel...maybe... bootup ?

Ok, I have a firewall, cause I have DSL, but for some reason, HL is incomaptible with it, so I have to turn it off when I want to play. Well, to shorten the story, some guy int he game siad that he had "ruined" a few of the HD's of the guys in our games with low pings. Anyway, he said when we reboot we will need a new HD. I am pretty "techie" , so I ran a trojan checker, windoctor, and I looked in my system dir. (I have 2k) So, what i was wondering, is there any files that I can check that run on bootup that he may have screwed up? I looked at autoexec.nt and i opened it with wordpad, and it was empty. Well, any help would be appreciated, who knows, he may be lying, but i would rathet no take the risk.

if this is true he is damn powerful...is it even possible to ruin a hard drive with the data on the hard drive? also if it is true do u remember his name...id inform authorites if i was you...you dont want monkeys like that running around...

i don't think that is possible, if he didn't send you anything.. and nothing slipped past your firewall, you should be ok.. i dont think, (like hie said ^) that you can ruin someone else data from a game...

That is what I was thinking, the only idea i had was that it was some sort of batch file or whatnot...Howeever, he left the game to do his damage, and my firewall was down, but still, he must have a nice batch file

Maybe all your base are just belong to him... I can't think of any other way.
