I am ignorant. What do people buy from Radio Shack?

In addition to batteries,

I've Bought 2 iPaqs there on a hot deal. Bought 2 Sanyo 6200 Sprint PCS phones there on a hot deal. Also bought my DishNetwork and PVR there.

The guys at my local Radio Shack are extremely friendly and helpful...and they actually know about the products they sell...unlike the employees at many "superstores" a la Best Buy, Circuit City, and CrapUSA. I won't say this is true of all Radio Shacks...but at least it is in my area.

You just described some of RadioShacks best sellers... yeah, I try to give good customer service even if I don't sell you anything. Commission makes a difference... a lot of those superstore employees could care less about you. RadioShack does carry a few exclusive products here and there...

RCA's HDTV Satellite receiver is one... we carry on of the Sony PDAs exclusively too. DirectTV & dish Network, Sprint and Verizon... and cables, adapters, and batteries for nearly everything. I've sold a lot of wireless accessories too. All the superstores in my area aren't really that cheap unless you're counting rebates... customer service is junk. What other store can you walk in a get near immediate help from at any time during normal store hours?

Plus, the RadioShack service plan on cell phones is nice... you can get a new battery every year as part of the plan.

I've gotten a lot of people coming in to get YES network (NY metro area) since it's not on cable and they want their Yankees.

Kudos to you KokomoGST...you're the kind of person that makes me prefer to give my business to Radio Shack. Keep up the good work and keep us up to date on any hot "insider" deals you stumble upon! 😉
