I fixed someone's HP Media Center tower last week that had pretty decent specs:

Intel C2D E6420 2.13GHz
4GB DDR2-667 (3.2x useable due to chipset limit)
Intel 945G mobo
500GB SATA 3.0 Gbps HDD
GF 8500GT 512MB
Vista Home Premium x86

They purchased it about three months after Vista was first released (I didn't know them then) and had nothing but problems. It originally shipped with 2GB so they paid a shop to install another 2GB, but it was still slow as hell so they paid the shop again to upgrade the integrated Intel graphics to GF 8500GT. Its been in the shop two other times as well due to crashing or whatever, but they have never really been satisfied with the improvement or any improvement never lasted long. They've used the recovery feature about three times as well.

So I just backed up their data, wiped the drive, clean installed Vista Home Premium SP2, installed only the apps and utilities they actually wanted/used, updated all the drivers, apps, OS to the latest versions or patches. Defragged the drive a couple times, ran boot optimization defrag, put all their stuff back on it, installed their printer software, only charged them $60 since I didn't have to replace anything.

They called today and wanted me to come over if I was free (its only a few minutes drive), I thought "Uh oh..." When I got there, they handed me an extra $50 and said "We don't know what the hell you did, but this computer runs better than it EVER has including when it was brand new."

Now I am hero and they are truly in awe of me. I was thinking of maybe asking if I could take their daughter out, she is pretty hawt, but a little too young probably (she's 17 and I'm way older). I think I'll just be happy with the $50 gratuity and compliments, don't want to get shot or anything. haha!

When daughter becomes legal (assuming shes not already where he is) there are potential benefits. :p

Even thinking about taking their daughter then makes you well...
Why don't you have a seat over there <insert direction>.

Yeah shes legal in most states but really... thats just kinda creepy. (in a modern society sense, biologically it would make total sense but thats besides the point)

Though why do you know the daughters age?

The mother was chit-chatting about their lives and told me her daughter was 17. But that's not the point, focus Grasshopper, the real story is about me getting a $50 tip and becoming a hero just for fixing a computer that others had tried to fix before.

I'm just saying, the daughter was there when I picked the computer up and she was looking pretty hawt. 17 but looking more like 19 or maybe even 20.

17 is legal in most states and countries.

Um 17 looks like 19, 20 and so on... Even 16 usually looks like 19, 20, 21 or 22... Unless they tan enough to destroy their skin, the only real difference is how they act and what they know.

wait OP is basically the same age as the father but referred to the daughter as hawt? I don't think I've ever seen anyone over the age of 15 actually spell it hawt. There is so much wrong with what OP said, christ on a stick.

You didn't see the daughter. If you're a healthy heterosexual male, you would have no other choice but to notice, no matter how 'societally incorrect' it was. And whom do you think created internet/chat room jargon? My generation. We were spelling it "hawt" 15 years ago.

Side note... next time you find someone "hawt" thats under 18 don't give ages. :p
And since 18 is the legal age in your state really especially don't give ages.

Hawt, bro! Like college-age looking hawt. Not my fault she's some kind of genetic freak that looks perfectly legal, albeit a LOT younger than me. :p

Again between the ages of 15 or 16 and early to mid 20's most women stay looking more or less identical unless they are in horrible shape, bad health, or tan to much.

I'd assume they have close-in-age exemptions, although it doesn't sound like this would apply in OP's case, LOL

In a more traditional society they would be obliged to offer her to you, along with several cows and sheep.
