I am having problems with my new computer.

So all the parts for my new computer came in yesterday and I am having some issues since i finished building it.
I have an MSI Z87 mobo,
Gigabyte GTX 770,
600w power supply,
i5 4670k,
DDR3 8gb ,
120gb solid state drive,
1tb western digital hard drive,
and my case is the NZXT H230.

When i first booted it up i was able to get the boot up screen but my mouse and keyboard wouldn't work. So I turned it off and switched out my mouse and keyboard. When I turned my computer back on my monitor is in standby.

Can you link or provide the model number of the PSU you have? 600W doesn't tell us a lot.

Have you tried resetting the BIOS?

Does your motherboard have LED debug feature? If so, are there any LED error codes?

I also tried my old video card from the computer I'm currently using and the monitor is still in standby.

Resetting the BIOS is a good suggestion. look in the manual for how to do this. I remember having a similar problem and after resetting the BIOS all was good.

Well the first thing I would look into is resetting the BIOS. Either look in the manual, a button on the motherboard or the back of the motherboard (clear CMOS) or google it. Did you hookup the speaker to the motherboard? If your motherboard doesn't have the LED debug feature, it will have error beep codes.

Next thing I would do is investigate the PSU. Either try another PSU in your rig or try your PSU in a different PC. Sometimes a faulty PSU can fail to boot up a PC.

But if you can get the speaker working, you should be able to narrow down your issue.

Take the video card out and use on board. Try 1 stick of RAM, etc.

Agree. You don't say which particular MSI Z87 motherboard you have, but most of them have onboard video. You can completely rule out the video card as a problem by trying the onboard.

It's the G55 version. So I have changed the power supply, checked video cards and used different slots, used one stick of R.A.M in different sockets, reset the Bios on the motherboard and tried other monitors. I am guessing my motherboard is most likely faulty?
