I will wait till the next price drop and buy a Nintendo Gamecube with 3 games. I will not open it at all, and just stash it for 20 years. Then I will put it up on Ebay in the year 2026 and advertise it as an unopened gamecube with 3 unopened games. That will fetch me a good amount, but probably the inflation would make it not matter at all. But still how cool would it be to sell an unopened Gamecube.

Heh, my grandmother bought two unopened bottles of Coke from sometime before 1950. She bought one to keep and one to drink, if I wanted to taste it. I told her, no thanks, that's an expensive bottle of Coke! She paid 25 for both.

In 20yrs it will be 2024 not 2026.
And your game cube will be worthless (more so than now)

I have six two liter bottles of Mountain Dew: Live Wire left, and one sixteen ounce bottle. I sent off the other two sixteen ounce bottles to my fiancee as a surprise. The big ones are too heavy to ship, I'm saving them for when she visits. I cracked one two liter bottle open for New Year's, as well.

Mountain Dew and Crystal Pepsi... you have the single worst taste in soda of anyone alive.

And for the guy who still has unopened Pepsi Clear, this guy will buy it from you. Anyone who has a page devoted to it is almost guaranteed to pay premium. Let us know how much you make.

I think I'm going to hold onto it for another 10 years or so. And yes, that stuff was nasty. I only held onto it because after drinking it I thought, "wow, this is such a terrible soda it will never sell. Better save some as it's sure to become a collector's item."

You sure ebay will still be around. And if it is, will we still be using 120V. And if we are, will it still connect to the TV we will have then. And if it will, how do you know the fvckin thing will turn on.

I had a mint condition Odyssey game system in my attic.

I went up there last month and it was gnawed on by the wharf rats up there.

I went up there last week and not only was it chewed to pieces and liberally pooped on, but the rubble was covered in sawdust, bugs, and debris from the workers putting on a new roof at my parents' place.

Um, yeah. I dont think complete standards for electrical transmission will change that quickly that there will be no way to play it now in ONLY 20 years. I mean, hell where is my flying car I was promised 30 years ago!??!?!

I am taking a few minutes away from playing my Atari 2600 to post this and it still seems to be fully functional.

Yeah, according to 30 years ago, Khan should be cyrogenically frozen floating through space about now.

Hey man, I've got about 6 brand new Virtual Boys and at least 6 brand new Atari Jaguars all new, unopened still in their factory box. I've also got a brand new N64 and two brand new unopend Black Edition Dreamcasts.

I'm gonna be a gazillionaire in 2050 because of these puppies!!!!

Then again.... probably not. :)
