I am getting sound artifacts when Agent finishes downloading a file

I am getting a skip\click noise from my sound system when I am listening to a music or video file when Agent finishes downloading a file. Taskmanager shows that cpu usage spikes at the same time. This happens when I use Winamp or Windows Media Player. I have installed the updated Windows XP and Sound Blaster files.

Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

My system:
AMD A64 3500+
MSI K8N Neo2 Platium
1 gig PC3200+, Value
Sound Blaster Audigy Sound card
Windows XP Pro\SP2
