And maybe someone else will know this, but do they jack the price across the board for tickets? Or just the liability coverage? If it's the former, I'd drop everything but liability & un/under-insured.

Lenders require collision and comprehensive as long as they hold the title. They want their car to be taken care of, they don't care too much about your liability.

I paid $180 a month on a '92 Civic (with 2 wrecks when I was 16 and 3 speeding tickets recently 😀)..... now I pay $90 a month.
