Ha. The reasons I follow Judaism are way too long and complex for an internet forum, and the truth is, I didn't want to get into this here. Rest assured it's not because of the way I was raised. I have studied this extensively for many years, and attended Rabbinical Seminary as well. This is not something I thought of sitting on the bus one day.

These are the same reasons that people of any faith will claim. It's not because they were raised that way (although that's probably the real reason), it's because they searched for themselves and discovered that the best religion happens to be the one that they already are.

It's fascinating how you can know what the probable reason is why I believe what I do. You barely know anything about me at all.

~24K posts on AT and you still don't know that mentioning the R-word will cause the thread to rapidly degenerate. :p

So what are you going to break the fast with? Regular food or something special?

What a bunch of thin-skinned pussies we have here, getting their panties in a bunch because someone mentioned his religion. You people are pathetic.

But it's the same line I've heard numerous times before, just from different people. You found the "true" religion. Great.

I fasted for 8 months. Wasn't a religious thing-I just hated the school food.

Your body gets used to it quite quickly. I'd have a meal around 6 PM, and then one at 11 PM. Granted, it probably only worked out to 5 months of fasting or so, as it'd only be dark at 6 in the winter..but still :)

I wonder how many of those people dedicated years of their lives studying religion.
Whatever, man. I'm not going to get into an argument here.
This thread is over AFAIC.
