made a stupid mistake back in August when I first order the phone from them. crappy phone(SE t306) and reception, along with roaming charges. :| their coverage map is retard. you will also get to put on hold for 40mins+ before you can speak to a rep. not to mention their gsm system had been down for 2 weeks+.

going for Tmobile with a new motorola v300 :D
got a $100 rebate for that to pay for the $175 early termination fee. ending up $75 for a new phone that worth $300. I pay less to have new phone, also, tmo is not bad in here. going to join the family plan after I get the rebates.

I have nothing but bad things to say about T-Mobile's coverage. I'd say at least 60% of my calls were dropped at some point, and I got no signal at all in most buildings.

But I think all cell companies can be hit or miss depending on where you live, so, good luck.

i have t-mobile in the tri-state area and have experienced at least as good coverage as at&t wireless.

i also have more for the same priced plan with a cooler phone.

I switched from Sprint to T-Mobile a few weeks ago. Needless to say I have been banging myself over the head for not switching a year ago. TM customer service is great; they switched my number in a week and waved the activation fee. Best of all, the calls are SO much clearer compared to what I had with Sprint. I have had no dropped calls nor coverage issues, not even in the boonies where I live. I've had no coverage issues in and around Atlanta nor in the DC/VA area.

I got a Sony Ericsson T610 phone and Bluetooth wireless headset, both for FREE (AR) through Amazon.

I am VERY happy with my decision.

I have T-Mobile here in Oregon, and I love it! I had been with verizon for 2 years, and got tired of dropped calls, unaccurate bills and a$$hat csr's.

I also have the v300, and I love it! The screen is very bright and clear. The camera is pretty nice too.

Also, there is a background of czj built into the phone. Not too shabby.

btw- don't play the stuntman game on it, it is so gay.

my sister's friend has a cellular store, he got her a unlocked t610. I was amazed because I could put in my sim card and use it. it is obviously a better phone than my t306(POS)

I also got the phone from that guy, it is great. my other sister give up sprint POS for tmo with a samsun e715. :D
tmo is good in here, from my sister's experience, also on the road when my POS got no service except roam to tmo.

for the verizon fanboys, we gsm users got better phones than yours :D don't even try to argue :p

Any phone can be unlocked. Simply take it to your local store.

I had to get a GSM phone as I work for a German company will be going to Germany on business. TM phones work fine over there.

tmo didn't lock the phone at all, also, you have to pay to get unlocked.

tmo is on 900/1900 here, so is the rest of the world(mostly)
att and cingular is on 850/1900.

Nope, you don't have to pay. A friend of mine took his TMO T68 phone with him to Greece this summer. He needed it unlocked, so he called a dealer in Atlanta from the island, and they unlocked the phone (it's a simple code). We then bought a vodafone SIM card, and bam, friends from the States could call the cellphone directly.

I like my cingular service in the socal area. No roaming charges and reception is good and many times where my friends sprint,at&t, and tmobile is not.

I have AT&T, and have no issues w/ them. Yes their hold times are quite long during the holidays, but you can resolve most of your issues online thru their online customer service.

My GSM reception is perfect here in Long Island NY, and also in Manhattan. I've never had any issues w/ my reception anywhere, and I've driven across the country to Texas. I've also been to Atlanta, GA and it was fine.

Also, I'm not sure if any other company offers this:

$39.99
1000 Mobile to mobile minutes
550 Anytime minutes
Unlimited nights, weekends and holidays
Free Long Distance and Roaming

If the service for AT&T is really bad, why can't you get out of the early termination fee? It would only seem right that if they have horrible service - you should not have to pay.

That is a good plan. I especially like the unlimited holidays part.

Cingular's got great coverage here in the Southeast. If I wasn't already happy (and locked in) with Verizon, Cingular would definitely be my second choice right now.

My family has had sprint, at&t, and tried both tmobile and cingular around here. Now we have Verizon and it is absolutely the best thing to ever happen. Reception works everywhere I have ever tried, and customer service isn't bad.

Unlocking phones? Heh. You can't go to a local t-mobile store to get it unlocked. They won't do it. You have to call customer care to make a request -and there's never a charge for it.

Or you can just go to HowardForums and get your phone unlocked in 5 minutes. :)

Hardly. Verizon is just as bad as other carriers in most places. The only edge that VW has over the others is their larger customer base.
