I am deeply disturbed by what I've been feeding my dogs

Yikes.

The only thing you can do is get one of the more expensive, more natural(?) dog foods.

There are foods out there that don't use any preservatives and hydrogenated fats.

It's amazing to me that we can feed our animals the same thing every day, for years and years. It's not just the eating the same thing part, but whos to say that the food contains everything the animal needs to live a long, healthy life?

Most animals die a slow, often painful death as they near the end of their lives.. just as people do. Now, don't get me wrong.. the quality of life for our animals is extremely high, but.. we all know that diet and environment are the two most important things to living a long, healthy life.

There has got to be a better food out there than dried nuggets of god knows what.. lol

 
I know some doctors around my area that feed their pets nothing but Evian water and organic foods from health food stores...but that's a little over kill.

Anywho...for an animal that licks it's own testicles, and enjoys rolling around in other animals feces...I don't know if dog food is really that bad for it 🙂
 
Remember people, dogs are not your children, no matter how much you might wish they were. If you were to die in your house, your dog would probably start enjoying your face as a meal.

I give me doggie lotsa people food scraps, so she gets a balanced nutrition. Some of that stuff mentioned in the article is perfectly healthy for dogs to eat. Animal brains, intestines, and other tissues are what dogs would naturally eat in the whild.
 
Thats why my family dog eats the leftovers from our table. The only other thing he eats are those biscuits and treats.

I think the author of that might've been using a bit of an artistic license with the "puss filled" part. Did he actually see the puss?

This article does nothing but spew garbage. Even if some of it is true he provides no proof to back any of it up. But it is on the internet so it _MUST_ be true. Blah Blah Blah. Do you know what would happen to food prices if all dog food manufacturers had to use 'human grade' food for pet food? It would skyrocket. They are animals. Are you telling me that the animals in the world that eat raw and roting meat that has been rolled around in the dirt are all dying of cancer and disease because of it? Please.

Where do you think all the euthanized animals go? Do you think they just disipate into the atmosphere and go to pet heaven? Or would you rather have them buried in our ack yards taking up more space in the landfills? They have to go somewhere. The carcasses are boiled down and processed into raw materials. They arent just ground up and thrown into the dog food mix.

my cat is 15 or so and shes been eating cat food all the time and except for that bout of skin cancer last october shes been in perfect health her whole life.
 
Feeding a dog table scraps can be worse sometimes for them than dog food. They weren't meant to eat the same thing humans do. They can't digest some of out food properly.



stupidly feeds his dogs all the table scraps, too........ except chicken and pork bones <--------- aceman
