I am connected but can't go anywhere

I was able to enable WPA on my W500 WLAN 802.11a/b/g wireless card through Windows XP Service Pack 2 wireless setup but I can't go anywhere. I can't go to any website or anything. Page not found everytime. Both the router and the wireless card are set for the same settings. The computer says its connected. The computer does have Atheros Client Utility installed as well but even that says its connected with the green lights all the way up. I am on a WRT54GS router.

Why can't I surf the internet please?

Well that means that you did not really configure the WPA correctly.

If you are on a regular home network, you sholud use in WZC Open, and WPA (do not use Shared or 801.1x). If you can make it work, switch off WZC and use the Linksys utility.

Please explain ?

I am sorry I made a typo.

It should be if you can Not connect with WPA using WZC switch it off and use Linksys utility to configure security.

As far as WZC Shared and or 802.11x security they are oriented toward business system and require specific authentication server.
