Well I had bought first season of Lost on dvd, got addicted. So I bought the season pass for season 2 through iTunes. I am now a tool.

So what things through iTunes are you a "tool" for?

I considerd that route, but I wanted to support a great show; plus to hard to get all season 2 episodes in a quick manner as I was having a marathon session. :p ITunes downed 19 season 2 episodes in about 2 hours.

I wouldn't mind buying the episodes if I can be assured they're not flea-infested like iTunes music. With iTunes I don't have that peace of mind. What resolution do you get them at anyhow?

Sadly, like around 480x320 or something low res like that. I am irked that I could have the box set for around the price I paid for the season pass. But like I said, I wanted to see the episodes now as I was watching season 1 straight through and then season 2. I just found out about "Lost" last week in fact, and wanted to get up to speed; will watch in HD on my big screen wednesday night when the new episode is on.

Of course 1280x720 HD on ABC is even better :p Good thing is I can use them on my iPod video without conversion.

While I've not actually seen the show on TV, I have reason to think this 720p of yours is actually interpolated 540. It's a rather common nasty trick that HD broadcasters use.

when you buy passes, do you get a discount as opposed to buying individual episodes?

you forgot to include "nothing" on your poll
itunes sucks! most of the crap on there you can get for free one wya or another
and even if i had to pay i would never buy from itunes with their propritary format downloads, some (or all?) that comes with an expiration date
plus it is huge and ugly for media playback, winamp all the way

Its not my fault if you don't want to sell a certain song or album here in the good ol US of A, if you don't provide me with legal means, more importantly, legal means that don't give me 128kbps files (lossless biatch, Goosemaster and his goonies got me to cross over to the dark side of 25 MB songs) to obtain it I'll get it elsewhere.

Other than that, 2 or 3 songs I really wanted while they were only out as singles and not yet as an entire album I could buy off Amazon/eBay or go grab at Target.

I have never bought anything through iTunes, and probably will never. $0.99 for a DRM-infested song is far too much to pay, IMO.
