If the original post was not a joke then it is textbook psychosis we are witnessing.

I suggest the OP contact a mental health professional if that post was not intended to be a joke and I'm quite serious.

It's a parody thread with some real experiences and thoughts, I think, based on my thread. I think the author deserves some credit for actually putting thought into it rather than just doing something completely sarcastic.

I hope people who do parody posts end up in hell. ;)

if everyone had their own belief, and to everyone, their belief was not only true but would even maybe go on the defensive vs another.. then none of them can logically be real.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it does.

Inconceivable!

Now that went from a niaeve whiney thread to a funny one FASST!

OP I want my 2 minutes back after reading that. well untill that inconcievable rip...

This just proves how fvcking nuts we all are. People think religion is real mainly because so many other people agree with them.

Uh, no, it proves that people are freaking nuts on both sides of the issue.

Jesus dined at a prostitute's house and this guy can't ride in a car with pirated MP3s? He has no grasp of Christianity....not of atheism it seems.

Ya... I was a little disappointed when I realized the thread was actually "I'm not a Christian because I don't feel bad about piracy".

Here's a brief interesting comment on atheism:
Joseph Campbell snipett

You completely misinterpreted what Joseph Campbell says.

"Half the world is made up of people who believe their metaphors are facts. Those are what we call theists. The other half are people who know that the metaphors are not fact, they're lies. Those are the atheists".
Yup. That's indeed a comment about atheism alrighty, just like I said!

Posting the link in connection with the OP topic isn't an implicit interpretation.

I didn't offer any interpretation, merely a link to what I thought was an interesting comment about atheism, nada mas.

just so you know, one of the reasons God sent Jesus to earth was to rid us of this type of legalism. The pharisees at the time were very legalistic and arrogant about the fact, and Jesus become the new law. You should read a book about grace and reconsider your thoughts. If you are really seeking logical truth, then you should read about both sides. I'm deeply sorry you've been having such a difficult time, and hope that things are better for you in the future!

While I only read the Highlight it sounds to me as if you got the Bible and the Digital Rights Management Act mixed up and confused RIAA for the God.

What a clever pirating justification thread disguised as an athiest thread.
I concur that there are some mental issues here, and yes - I'm serious too.
