How is cocaine a schedule II drug while marijuana is a schedule I?

Cocaine is sometimes used in eye surgery. So it has a medical use, though very restricted and not often used. MJ does not have an accepted medical use, at least not at the federal level.

I don't think schedule 1 means something is neccesarily more dangerous, it just means that it is addictive/abusable but does not have any accepted medical use. Schedule 2 means it is addictive/abusable, but the substance does have an accepted medical use (morphine or oxycodone as an example).

I too am a regular drug user. I start almost every morning with 2 or 3 Excedrin...and I also have to have my nightly fix of blood pressure meds.
