I am about to change everything in my life

1. I told my kid's mom that either she needs to stop screwing up or to let me have custody
2. She told me I could only see him on the weekends now
3. I took a job on the other side of the state and start on Monday
4. I have no idea if what I did was the right thing.

I finally got fed up with all the kid's mom's BS. I told her that either I was going to take him full time, or she needed to live right. Since she has custody she pulled rank. Told me I could only see him every weekend or every other. Since I had no reason to stay here, I took a better paying job across the state. What did I do?

Bro, no offense, but you're still healing from a DD incident; don't judge you child's mother too harshly IMO. Give it time some time

The thing that finally got to me was before the accident. Some serious stuff happenned with my kid and I had a talk with my kid's mom, her best friend and her best friend's son. Nothing really got settled in the talk, but there was a joint sitting in the kid's mom's ashtray and she didn't seem to think that was a big deal. This was after her new boyfriend threatened to kill her and my son while he was on a crack binge.

Oh yeah, I found out that she has been letting 13 year olds watch him. Let alone the fact that I had to pick him up from a drug dealers house.

Things had to change, and I could not change them. There is even more to the story, but those are the biggest things.

when i was 13 i babysat all the time, up to 6 kids under 5 at a time.

the drug dealer thing, thats a bit inexcusable though.

anyways, try your change, if it doesn't work, try something else. if anything, you can use your increased income to get a good lawyer
