I am a very lucky, unwise kid.

Alright. There is this computer my family has. I neglect it. One day, it starts making a funny noise. I decide not to care. My mom urgently tells me the computer won't boot. I look at it. The 40mm fan (w/e size is stock AMD) is unable to rotate (dead motor). This is on a 1.2 tbird. So, I am asked to fix it. First, i use masking tape to hold an 80mm fan on it. w00p. Smart idea... falls off, compuer almost dies overnight. The next day, i use ducttape. That held for a week, then the tape let go. Comptuer almost died. So today, I use a drill and drill holes in the HS ( alunimum ) and mount the fan with zipties. Now it has been on for 2 days, and no problems.

I'm fine, like I said, it is the neglected child.

The point of this article is,.....

If ducktape fails, go for the zip ties. You are rest assured you won't fail.

I'm an attention whore!

as long as you admit that, you can get help.

It is just gonna fall off again. Order a 60mm fan, get a new HSF, or order a 60--> 80mm adapter.
