so I was trying to finish up my homework few nights ago at my work place. (laptop just died, can't do anything at home, so I have to do it in the office). The office then closed before I get to finish my paper... so out of infinite wisdom I drove to a LAN arcade hoping to finish it there. Granted, it will be noisy with a bunch of kids playing CS and/or WoW; but I don't care, I just need to finish.

Upon arrival, I asked the kid who works there is there MS Word installed. He said yes.

He was wrong.

it's 11:00pm, I am tired, paper not done. me = screwed.

on an unrelated note: that guy don't even know what a USB drive is when I showed him one. And, when he tries to log on as Admin to find out whether MS Word is installed, he can't spell "Administrator" right. I did, however, appreciate him for trying. I wish he is in school instead of working here at minimum wage.

Moral of Story: at this day and age: Get a computer, and an education.

Why didn't you just type up your thing (report? essay?) in Notepad or Wordpad and then transfer it to Word when your school of office open up again? Maybe Kinko's has MS Word installed on their computers. They're open 24/7.
