their products are overated. Cheap A4tech mice are a lot better and are 10 times cheaper. I bought 2 mx1000, one was a DOA and the other stopped working in a year all of a sudden.

edit: not to mention their speakers suck donkey balls.

Ive got 2 sets of the MX700 mouse and wireless keyboard combos, a G7 that just went back for RMA, a cheapo usb optical mouse, x-530 5.1 speakers, and probably some more things around. I also use their products on alot of the systems I build for friends. I guess you could say Im a fan.

I had an mx duo and now I use a g7. I prefer the microsoft ergo 4000 and klipsch 5.1 ultras over the logitech counterparts.

Ditto, I have the wireless black MS ergo keyboard. Had it for ~2 years and will probably never get rid of it so long as it works :)

Logitech SUCKS!!!

Their drivers SUCK!!!

OK. That is a bit of an over-reaction, but just wait until I till you my reasons.

*** RESAON #1 ***

Two years ago, I purchased a Cordless MX Duo keyboard. At that time, it was nearly their top-of-the-line cordless combo. I paid about $80 for mine in August of 2004. The hardware is great. Go check out the current download page for the drivers for this little item: no driver updates since 3/30/2004. Their special hot-keys do not even support Firefox, and the company cannot even be bothered to fix it! Driver page here: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/downl...oftware/US/EN,CRID=1796,contentid=6997 Note the complete lack of Firefox support. That makes one of the cool features of that keyboard completely useless.

I do understand that you eventually have to drop updating drivers for older products. But Firefox hit 1.0 only a few months after I purchased this $80 keyboard. For that expensive of a product, I would at least expect them to update drivers for a year after it is discontinued.

*** REASON #2 ***

I also purchased a Logitech QuickCam Chat about a year ago. I had just reformatted my XP box, and was trying to keep the user accounts at a "user" level and only nave one admin-level account (standard recommended security practices for XP). Well, the Logitech drivers for this device do NOT like working unless they have admin rights, as it was quite easy to get explorer to crash. Eventually I caved in and gave all users admin access, but I still resent the drivers from a supposedly top-notch company to miss amateurish stuff like this.

I will happily admit that they make nice hardware (except that the shiny faux-silver finish is wearing off of my cordless MX mouse), but their software people need to be horse-whipped.

Yeah I have their speakers, mouse and keyboard set. It's a great combo price, style and they work.

Love my Trackman marble, but use Klipsch for speakers. My Wingman FF wheel is nice too. I like Logitech, but fall short of being a fanboi.

I like Logitech products most of the time.. but I find most of their mouse/keyboard software to be complete crap. I have a Bluetooth MX 5000 that is horrible though, and many other users from what I gather exhibit similar problems to mine. Mouse will lock up or not track for a minute at times. Keyboard will do the same thing sometimes.

hm..

Z-640 speakers
Mx510 mouse
Elite keyboard

I've been thinking of getting a nice set of 2.1 speakers (because I don't use the rear speakers ever, right now they're under my desk providing noise to my feet)

Meh, some of their stuff sucked. To me, when it comes to mice, if its under 20 and fits my hand well, its enough. Which is why I use a MX510.

Yeah, I've got a lot of Logitech products, too. Mouse, keyboard, speakers, USB microphone, and my racing wheel are all Logitech. The only one I've ever had any sort of issue with is the wheel; I just don't think the drivers are up to snuff with that.

I just picked up the new x230's and they're pretty nice. Just arrived today, actually. $36 shipped from Buy.com:

http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?loc=101&sku=10389804

The sub is quite compact, about half the size of the 640's sub. Great for putting your feet up on :) The speakers look pretty decent too. I am pleased with the sound. Great buy overall, yay for cheap quality stuff :D

speakers, mouse, keyboard, love it :)

EXCEPT....i HATE LT for their invention of the stupid "F-Lock" on the keyboard..this is the dumbest thing ever.

But love my MX518 and especially my Logitech X-230 speakers.
