Being a relatively new dad myself (mines 14 months old) I can speak from recent experience. Its tough the first few weeks especially between you and your partner, bickering about who is going to get up to feed etc. but trust me, it only gets worse. They start moving, the crying gets louder and your life ceases to exist. The little things like going out to eat and going to the movies are gone. But honestly, I dont think I'd trade it
Good luck

1st: 3.75lbs
2nd: 4lbs
3rd: 4.5lbs
All 1.5yrs apart
8lbs is pretty normal size - my son was 8.1lbs when he was born last november.

JS80,
You have a good looking boy! I just came off shift from work and met another neonate. He was pretty ugly in comparison. Either you're a good photographer or you have a great looking kid. Congrats!
