I almost got killed about 30 minutes ago

I was coming home from our grocery store driving my dad when this happened. I came to a stop at the stop sign waiting to enter traffic. (We live in a sort of toned down city environment in NH) This was not by a light. The road was clear so I started to come out. There was a large truck in the lane far over, so I was safe. Well, as I was completing my turn, this guy decides he wants to enter my lane. I was about halfway in my lane. He didn't blink, he just swerves over in front of me and cuts me off. I swear he was inches from slamming into my door. The truck was a little larger than this one:

It was carrying large rolls of wire or something. If I did not swerve over to the right, he would have crashed right into my door. This could have easily killed me!
After he gets ahead of me, he rolls down his window, and flips me off as he's driving for a good minute. As we come up to the next light, it turns red before he even gets to the line, but he decides to completely go through the red light. Mabye so I couldn't get his plate # or his company truck name. It was a privately owned trucking company somewhere in VT.
I have his plate number, and his company name, but I don't feel that calling his company would lead to anything good. I'm just going to leave it be, and stay about 500 feet away from that dtruck if I ever see again. Mabye he was drunk, mabye he was just a bad driver, but he almost killed me.
I hate people that do not blink, even though it wouldn't have made a difference in this case. And I hate people that go through red lights.

Call the cops and report it... He could be a danger to someone's life if he is drunk....and call the company and report dangerous driving..

That was me. I'm sorry for doing that to you. I was drunk. Please don't call the cops on me.
 
The guy almost kills you but you still think it isn't worth it to call in a complaint...how about you try it and see if it is?

Why did you cut him off?

I'm being serious here. You were at a stop sign, and didn't yield to the truck? doesn't matter what lane he is in.

Am I picturing this right? two lanes going one direction, you are at a stop sign making a turn onto this two lanes of sameway traffic?. And you're mad at the truck driver?
 
I'm sure you had a cell phone w/ you, which you should've used to call the cops and reported the guy. And call the guy's company after that as well.

The truck driver crossed multiple lanes to cut the OP off to make a right.

The truck driver crossed multiple lanes to cut the OP off to make a right.

Are you reading the same post. There was nothing in there about the truck making a right turn.

The poster was in the wrong but the other guys was too. The poster should report this guys as he sounds like an ass.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. The OP was making a right at a stop sign. The truck had the right of way and switched lanes to the same one the OP was going to turn onto. I'm not sure who would be at fault for that, really.

The truck changed lanes at an intersection. His blinker might have been broken, but that is still a no-no.

regardless of whether the OP was right or not about the first intersection, the guy ran the red at the second and should get called for it.
