I almost got adopted by a kitty

There was this cute black kitty sitting outside my apt complex. It looked at me and then starting following me wherever I went. It followed me into the variety store here. After that it followed me to the landlord's office.

I buzzed him to let him know that someone's cat got loose from the building and maybe bring it back to its owner.

I was informed the cat has been hanging around for 3 days now and the owners did a midnight move and left the cat behind.

The cat is between 9 months and a year old. She's all black with a little white on one paw and chest. She's very friendly and playful. Obviously it was well taken care of. I just wanted to snoorgle it.

I would have taken it home but I am not ready for a pet yet.

A nice Asian girl in the complex decided to adopt her.

Black kittens are so cute. We had captured a stray one once as we felt bad for them and wanted to bring them to the humane society. Only got one. I played with it for a while until it got really pissed off at me and my arm looked like it had been through a meat grinder. But it was so cute! We ended up just dropping it back where we found it. Seeing that happen made us realize it's a wild cat now, and will be very hard to tame as a pet. They are animals after all and if raised in a non human environment, they will cope ok usually.

Similar thing here. Not sure if this cat is just poorly looked after or if it really has been abandoned. I'm allergic otherwise I might consider adopting it. Actually no cats are evil, I'm a dog person.
