Short story : Broke up with GF of 5 years treated me like carp, I left her. Burried with work, I go through periods of feeling emotionaly weak and depressed and all of a sudden Im back to my old self ( quiet at times, but active and loud when I want to be)..

Im thinking of seeing a doctor, I just dont want the label that comes with it. I dont think going out and getting f*cked out my brains with booze and girls is going to help ( tried that).

It funny cos when I come out of these depressed phases I think " Gee how low can I go wtf's with that" and all of a sudden it'll come back..

I find it hard to sleep and Im worrying alot more about things then ever and I dont get why..

Sorry for the moan guys....I just feel crap.

Think I'll see the doctor:(

how long had this been happening?

it is normal to go thru a period of mourning at the ending of a long term relationship... even if it was an unhealthy one. It takes time. Finding someone to talk to is not a bad thing... but if you go to a doctor, make sure meidcation is the very LAST option. Many docs find it easy to write a perscription for everything.

A good friend or a counselor would not be a bad idea.

Good Luck! :)

I had a girlfriend with a mouth like a carp.
That's about all I can add except for "rub dirt in it and take a lap".
Hope you feel better soon. :)

This post looked so misplaced until I read the first sentence of the OP again :)

It's normal to feel like this. You just have to find some way to get through it. Distracting yourself is a good way to not think about it.
