I absolutely @(#$*ed it up.

You would not believe this story, LOL.

GF and I bought tix for Sox game game tomorrow ? way back in winter. Just minutes ago, boss tells me to go see director. I go into his office and say what's up. He says, "What do you doing tomorrow?". I say, "Going to Sox game".

He's suddenly surprised and says, "Really? Because?" he then pulls out two Sox tickets, "?these are the CEO's tickets and he cannot make it. Fox (my boss) tells me you deserve these for all the hard work."

Q(*@&$@(*#&$@#$& These are five rows behind the dug-out!!!!! We laughed for awhile at this coincidence, I politely refused the tickets and went back to my desk.

Then I realized what a dumbass I am. I could've just taken them!!!!! So I walked back into his office and said, "If you cannot find any, I've been meaning to take my parents for their first Sox game for quite some time?"

He then says, "Sorry? these seats should only be occupied by employees?too bad because Fox spoke very highly of you"

I. FUCKED. IT. UP.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I'm gonna be at the game tomorrow and punch myself when I look at the dug out seats and thinking my family or brother could've been in ittttttta08hf0832juina2fna23jnf

Why the hell would you say no? You could've said that you were just planning to go but hadn't gotten tickets, or that you would sell the ones you have, or something. Dumb, dumb move.

I'm 100% with you. Next time I'll know better to always let the other party show their cards before opening my mouth.

YOU FUCKING IDIOT E=, ABSOLUTE FAIL AT LIFE.

dude, why didn't you just say "i'll take them and give my tickets away to some needy kids" and then you coulda sat in the good seats and gave the tickets to your parents.. and then your director would think you're all generous.. win win win!!! yeah, so where are your seats, i almost want to fly out there to punch you in the face

You fucked it up even more by going back. The first polite refusal wouldn't be anything against you, but you came back for them.

I would be disappointed if you didn't jump out a window and fall to your death by the end of the day. No Seppuku please, you're not worthy.

I don't know how going back ruined any of my 'honesty'. I just asked him that I'd love to take my parents.

Anyhow I know it's epic fail... fucking aosdjfoi2n

Even karma will hate you now.

Tststst....

1. Get the dugout tickets for yourself
2. Sell or give away the other cheaper tickets (You can sell the tickets at face value or lower at the ballpark without any trouble)
3. Profit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Better luck next time young grasshopper.

I learned a lot as a professional invidiual. Always let them show their cards first. You gain nothing by showing off your cards first.

Feh. These seats came with free food.

😉

P.S. Did we really need another thread to confirm what we already knew about you?

Well the way I look at it, this gives your employers another opportunity to demonstrate their appreciation of you as a hard worker / good employee etc.

If you took the tickets, while you still had your own at your disposal, maybe the next time they have a free perk to hand out, your name won?t come up. But since you politely declined them on their offer, maybe the next time they?ll think about you once again when a free reward is up for grabs. I mean, they don?t want to spoil you with constant freebies and the like, right? =)
