Yeah, we all know Newegg rocks, and I've been ordering almost exclusively from them for years, but I thought I'd post this because of the order I just placed.

I went up to Best Buy last week (I know, I know, but it's the only place in or around Ithaca I know of that sells video cards) and picked up a 9800 Pro for $300. And I LOVED the card; I've been playing UT2004 with it and it's smooth as silk even with AA cranked.

But I was looking at Newegg yesterday and saw a 9800Pro Sapphire for $212. I was like WTF! I can get a better quality card for over 100 less from Newegg (NY tax SUCKS). So I brought the 9800 back to Best Buy today and order a Sapphire from Newegg, PLUS a new case and some fans, all for $20 less than the card from BB.

So I say again, I  Newegg and may they live forever. As one of the reviews I read said: "I think Newegg is god".

Edit: For you, 911. :D

Stating that newegg is great, too obvious.

This thread should be titled "OMG!! BB let me return something!!!"

Blow me. I'm not always in the market for a video card, and I hardly ever keep up with prices if I'm not in the market.

What excuse did you give to Best Buy when you returned the card? Did they charge you a restocking fee or something?

Nope. Told the girl I decided I didn't want it. Except for open DVDs I've never had a proble returning anything to BB (damn full screen version of Spider-Man!).
