Hyundai wants a luxury brand; automaker seeks U.S. debut by 2007
Hyundai's quality has DEFINITELY improved in the lastest 2-3 years, but I don't think they've improved to the point where buyers' perception and tastes are ready for a Hyundai luxury brand by 2007.
Too much too fast is sure to equal failure; at least IMHO
