Bah, VW isn't at the bottom but close.
umm... 6th place... same as BMW and better than MB... not too bad if you ask me... still not as good as Toyota/honda/and... Hyundai...

actually, it's nowhere near the bottom, that was just the top 10 or so. there are a whole heap of manufacturers below Ford.

Ford is where it usually is, near the middle of the pack.

still, 23 / 100 is not too bad.

The big list in my March CR Cars Issue that I just got a few days ago says that Acura is #1.

Acura would fall under Honda

Lexus falls under Toyota

Infinity falls under Nissan

and so on

They had Acura seperate from Honda on the list. All the other luxury brands were listed along with their parent brands.

I have to admit this completely shocked me.
A new accent for $8,999 is looking more and more tempting.

BMW is the most unreliable piece of sh*t car I ever drove. The damn thing has at least something go wrong every few months. Parts are expensive as hell too. POS.

I'm actually surprised to see that BMW isn't lower...I know 4 guys I work with who own late-model BMWs and all of them have had problems. One of them had their engine catch on fire the first week he had it. He then got an X5 as a loaner and the radio stopped working on it.

I bet all these guys go Japanese afterwards... I would... I'd only buy Japanese unless it's a Dodge. (there are reasons for my Chryco fanboy thing) 😛

The poll shows Mercedes in a little bit of the wrong light. Their lower end cars (C-class) are obviously not going to be as reliable as Honda, etc, becuase they have only been making lower end cars for the past seven or eight years. If one were to only look at Mercedes above $50,000 I have a feeling they would do much better. The real quality of Mercedes shines through in cars like the Maybach 🙂

That's nice to know that an MB that costs twice as much as a civic isn't as reliable, AND that it takes MB >50K to build a car that can match a civic's reliability.

😛

I'll never buy a european car myself, I've known of this dirty little secret about european cars for a while.
