Hyundai L90D+ for only $340 out the door at compusa.com

Link

A new low, so I think this deserves a new thread.
For those who don't know about this LCD, look at the last thread about this monitor:

Great Price. Finally jumped on it. Everyone else is either out or the price is 400+.

It seems every other week the Dell 1905FP is available for $400 w/ free shipping. IMO that's also a good option even though it's 50 bucks or so extra. The dells have amazing contrast and picture quality.

On the other hand, if the 1905FP ever gets to 350 I'd buy it in a heart beat.

Not saying the 1905fp is a bad monitor, but it's response time is too slow (it says 20ms but seems lower in reviews). Good for people who don't game much, but if you're a gamer, 8ms response time would be great.

Hmmm... I tempted to cancel my order for a 17" Viewsonic VP171B-2 and get this. Would the Hyundai be the better overall choice considering they both go for the same price? Viewsonic has a great reputation and I've never really heard much (except for the single thread) regarding Hyundai LCD's

It depends, if you're used to 21" CRT then I guess 19" would be better fit for you.

I'm in. Too bad no in-store pick up offered in my area.

Should be an interesting comparison to my Dell 1905FP. I'm more worried about the shallow viewing angles than the dithered colors.

Just ordered one of these to go along with my other L90D+. These are really great monitors, especially for the price. Gaming on this monitor is the best I have seen with any LCD and prefer it over my 2 19" inch CRT monitors due to the perfect geometry, brightness, and sharpness. The one I do have I ordered from Newegg and has no backlight issues whatsoever, no dead pixels, and the quality is very good. I really don't even notice the dithering and don't think it will be an issue for most people.

Just checked Newegg and they are out of stock!! They won't be in stock until 02/15/2005. And it's for $422 shipped + tax. This is even hotter now!!

I was gonna place an order on this but I checked google and came up with a site that said it had a 25 ms response time. Now when I clicked the CompUseless link, it of course directed me to their restocking page so I could not get any information there. Anyways here is the site:

The L90D is not the same as the L90D+. It's actually a couple years old, I think.

Pay attention to what you're looking at. Get your own facts right before you start calling CompUSA useless.

Wow. I just pointed out something I came across and I had no idea about the "+". I did not say it had 25ms response time, I merely came across another page that I thought the compusa ad was referring to. At the time I checked the ad, the CompUsa site was down so I could not verify. That is why I posted the link for people to review and see if something was not correct. I call Compusa CompUseless for my own personal reasons because they did not give me a refund on an unopen item and gave me a hard time with a rebate. Look it was just to poke fun at their name. I am sorry that I did not know there was a difference between the L90D and the L90D+. Its an easy mistake to make so lay off.

Great price OP.

I was just on the phone with CompUSSR's customer service.
Hey did u guys know that they have stopped charging a restocking fee for returns???

Plus they accept returns with even a single dead pixel.

So for those not sure if dithering will make a difference you can try it out and return without cost if you do not like the monitor

Ordered mine this morning.. cant beat that price! even chiefvalue.com is more expensive. I would have ordered from NewEgg if they hadnt decided to start gouging from $369 up to $422. Now this morning I noticed NewEgg was down to $412. SO sorry NewEgg..... I can wait a couple of extra shipping days to save $70.

$33 tax is icky, but since one of the posters mentioned the lack of restock, I'll give it a try. Hope that still does apply to LCD's though...
