I'm not sure how that computes. You love peanuts but hate peanut butter? What kind of peanut butter are you eating? The Jiff type nonsense is nasty. Try some natural peanut butters that you get from Whole Foods, Wild Oats, etc. It tastes like actual peanuts.

I think the PB with ranch idea pretty much settles it. I like both of those, but just the thought of them being mixed together makes me want to vomit. PB with tuna doesn't sound good either.

I pack my lunch and pretty much always bring a tuna fish sandwich. I'm going to try substituting peanut butter for the mayo tomorrow. I really don't like mayo, mostly because its extremely unhealthy. I've tried using cottage cheese instead of mayo in the past, which works ok but it doesn't hold the tuna together all that well. PB just might do the trick and I think it would taste pretty good.

PB is not that healthy either.

Somehow that transitioned into me putting peanut butter on my eggs and was surprised to see that it actually tasted pretty good. Running through various food combinations in my mind, I couldn't think of anything that wouldn't be just as edible with peanut butter added to it. So I think peanut butter is the universal condiment, goes good with anything.

Name something that would be disgusting if you added peanut butter to it (must be something that is not disgusting without peanut butter to begin with). Then try it or I'll try it if possible, and prove or disprove my hypothesis.

my fave is... peanut butter on waffles with syrup over the top...

omfg.. good..

Dunno about that. Depends on the peanut butter. If you're getting one without hydrogenated oils, it's great for you. Sure it's high fat, but it's almost all monounsaturated. It's calorie dense, yes, but it's something you don't eat a ton of. It's high protein and full of good fats. Nuts and nut butters are an excellent source of high quality fats.

I'm gonna put PB way above Mayo in any comparison, assume your use is 'reasonable'.

All things in moderation.

OK, let's say that natural whole foodsy PB is ok, but Jif is pretty bad for you.

most vegetables wont go with peanut butter

steak doesnt, eggs.

a better test is to find something that doesn't go with chocolate or cheese.

Well there you go. Chocolate does not go with cheese and vise versa. :p

One time when I was high, I put some brown mustard on a Reese's PB cup and it was delicious. We called it Reestard.

Edit: I have a similar hypothesis in regard to bacon.

I've had peanut butter soup a couple of times, one was a puree and one had chicken and veggies in it.
Both were really good.
