because someone thinks someone else is being racist and speaking out their bunghole it automatically makes them a nancyboy or a school marm?

you're off on that one Red.
No I didn't say that, what I did say is that the school marms and nancyboys will start whinning about Howard Stern when he goes on air with Sirius. Those who just don't like him will just not listen to him, they won't whine and complain about him.

They gave him $500,000,000.00 (yes a half a billion dollars)to go to Sirius? I think you give the school marms to much credit.

Bwuahahaha, I wish I could get defeated that way:laugh: You crack me up, your contrarian attitude towards the truth just to mold it to your view on how things should be does not make it so!

Go ahead, have the last word.:laugh::laugh:

Wrong. They gave his show that much money, but not him. Meaning, that money includes all the production costs, his salary, all the advertising costs, and any other costs a show might have. Also, that number is for a period of 5 years.

They didn't write "Howard Stern" a check for that much.

Remember the whole Phantom Menace - asian sounding aliens uproar?

I didn't see any Jamaicans complaining about Jar Jar. There are just less Asians in America. I'm sure once there are more they will be just as 'annoying' to JL Gatsby if not more so due to their inherently conservative and xenophobic culture.

Were you in a cave? It was all over the news that blacks found Jar-Jar to be a stereotypical "black" character.

It was a family (all adults) and they were doing it so loud that everyone could hear. You could see the disgust in the worker's faces.

You must be delusional, no one other than the white man can be racist.

You must be delusional, no one other than the white man can be racist. I've listened to blacks talk and they can be just as racist as the most racist of white people. The only difference is that they don't really have any reasons to be racist

white people have a reson to be racist? 😕

Yes. I said blacks didn't have a reason to be racist because they're in a country founded by and maintained by whites. To be racist is hypocritical.
I don't condone racism by anyone, but I think it's especially erroneus when done by blacks in this country.

I was driving to get donuts this morning, listening to the radio, as I flipped through the stations, my curiosity got the best of me. The local "hip hop" station broadcasts this nationally syndicated "hip hop" talk show called I believe "Russ Parr In The Morning" or something to that nature, I decided to listen for a while to see what they had to talk about.

They do many comedy skits on this show, as most all morning radio shows would, but one struck me as particularly offensive.

They have someone unknown person affiliated with the radio show do this impression of a nail saloon owner named "May Ling" or something to that nature, but clearly an Asian name. Just about every host on the show takes part in this skit. They usually have someone impersonate this non existent Asian person in a very racist manner. Making the person (May Ling) come off as hyper, neurotic, and with an exaggerated Asian accent, and of course, this character is a "nail saloon owner" or at least works at a nail saloon. So much so, me, as a white person, not of Asian decent, and who is not easily offended, still found it to be very offensive, almost to the point where I couldn't listen anymore.

From what I can tell, the typical skit involves a African American person getting their nails done, and then either refusing to pay or in some way causing the Asian character to get stirred up. The hosts all then to act out this offensive character, clearly in a mocking fashion towards Asians.

Remember, this is probably one of the biggest "hip hop" radio shows in the country. They're based out of New York and from what I can gather, they get interviews with the top artists in "hip hop," so this is not a "niche" radio show, but very mainstream for the urban youth.

Surely the African American community is quick to criticize when someone insults their culture, and rightfully so, because such insults are not acceptable.

If a predominantly white radio show had produced an African American character, and then blatantly attached offensive stereotypes to this character and the hosts acted such a character out live in radio, what do you think the reaction would be?

I think behavior by either show or culture would be unacceptable.

I'm not pointing fingers at anyone, or justifying anything. Such behavior should not be tolerated by anyone of any race.

But this is just something everyone needs to think about when discussing the issue of race and prejudice.

LOL give me a break. Good thing you don't live in Philly. I listen to WYSP and WMMR 🙂 and they have these fake phone calls they do to middle eastern guys. The truth is you are offened because blacks are doing it. Because one damn thing is for sure, when it comes to radio whites, have been doing the same stuff for years. Its called humor, don't like it change the channel, instead of coming in here with the poor ole white me syndrome I am so offended bs.

Again, you cannot compare some local twits to a nationally syndicated show.

And middle easterns are a much different subject. Although I do not like middle eastern people being targeted, in America, it's generally tolerated. It's not the same thing as insulting any other culture or race.

You're an idiot if you think that I implied any of that.

If you would read my original post, you'd know every word you wrote is BS and I specifically pointed that out in my first post.

You must be a liberal, twisting words and meanings to use the "Racist Card." Must be fun to be that ignorant.
