We heard plenty from the right on 'Obama is unqualified' in 2008. It was a big campaign issue, there was much discussion comparing politicians (including Palin).

Question for those who support Republican (new front-runner?) Herman Cain, if you ever attacked Obama for being unqualified, do you now say Cain is?

The man has no political experience. He has run a pizza company.

Instead of doing a poll, this one is for accountability, so it'll be post responses.

A) I support Herman Cain, called Obama hypocritical once or more, and preserve a shred of dignity by admitting Cain is unqualified to be President.

B) I support Herman Cain, called Obama hypocritical once or more, and forfeit any claim to credibility in this forum as a Guinness Record hypocrite.

C) I support Herman Cain, called Obama hypocritical once or more, and can't retain a shred of dignity, but avoid (B) by admitting I was wrong about Obama.

D) Herman Cain is our most qualified candidate ever! Obama is more unqualifed than in 2008! Hi, I'm in the tea party!

E) I support Cain but never called Obama unqualified (making you Bill Johnson in Minnesota, or Larry Jones in Hawaaii), or don't support Cain, or other answer.

The only thing I want to know is how many jobs he has created in his pizza business the past 10 years.
I wonder what his employees think of him.

No one is going to come to your thread and admit to being a hypocrit Craig. You want to nail someone for hypocrisy? The entire archive of posts is searchable and goes back to the 2008 election and primary. And you have several long time posters stating their support for Cain in 2 recent threads. Useful search terms would be "Obama" + "unqualified" or "inexperienced" etc. Go to it.

Wouldn't the proper term to use toward those who said Obama was unqualified and inexperienced be 'CORRECT'?

Stupid liberals displaying their idiocy once again.

Obama wasn't criticized for his lack of governmental bureaucracy experience. When you follow woolfe's advice, I'm sure you'll see the "unqualified" or "inexperienced" complaints regarding Obama were generally centered regarding his lack of *executive* experience, AKA demonstrated ability to lead a large organization, such as a business.....or the country, etc.

Pretty much exactly the opposite of Cain.

Craig thread is fail, as usual.

LOL, you're joking, right?

That moron has posted 3 topics in TFI regarding his inability to properly operate the search feature here. You've merely asked him to chase his own tail. Well done!

Odd. Never had a problem with the search feature here. It has some limitations but it works fine within them. I've been on forums that had lots of glitches in search functionality but this isn't one of them.

The Cain win was just a protest vote. No one is happy with the circus going on picking someone acceptable to run. Plus straw polls are not exactly rocket science. It's easy to buy a straw poll vote. And Cain was the only one that actually courted straw poll voters.

So let's tally up... Palin out, Paul a dud, Romney isn't one of them, Perry wasn't the great white hope after all, Bachmann shows what can happen when you skip your Meds, and no one can remember the names of all the rest.
So enter Christy? Well... Might be good for a ten minute distraction. Thats about it.

Let's face it, you can't beat a sitting president that killed Bin Laden, is a loyal father husband and family man, hasn't been caught in a sex scandal, and despite the economy
is just damn likeable. But don't take my word... just ask Bob Dole how that works.

Every real job he's had is one more that the current president has had.

He's turned several very large corporations from failures to profits. He obviously is very intelligent in math and economics. His accomplishments are lightyears beyond what got the current president elected, that being mainly "community agitation" and "showing up for work most of the time".

But please, though, tell us why you think the current president's skills and experience would be more valuable at this time?

At this point in the race any "front runner" (and he isn't one in any case) is really just a sideshow.

I am not a Cain supporter, but I'd say that running a major corporation is better experience than a couple years as a community organizer followed by a few minutes in the Senate before running for office.

I don't consider killing that piece of shit named OBL a failure.

You are right about that. Obama is very successful at killing brown people. I realize he campaigned on making the Muslims like us again so I can only assume killing them is part of that plan.

I think what you mean is that President Obama was trying to reverse the 8 years of damage that the Bush reign did to America's reputation.

Don't be such a goddamned racist.

But honestly I've never held a lack or excess of political experience against a man when considering him for public office.

Fail thread is fail.

Cain at least has some experience running an organization and has some achievements. obummer on the other hand had no experience running anything but his mouth, and his presidency thus far reflects the results.

"I support Cain but never called Obama unqualified".

There are about two people I see as "qualified" for POTUS right now (and in the last xxxx years), Hillary Clinton and Newt Gingrich, and I wouldn't vote for either of them.

Cain, IMHO, is a man genuinely driven to help this country, and not just small segments of its population. I've listened to his radio show for years, and supported him in his bid for Senate in 2004. I don't think he can win the Republican nomination nor the presidency, sadly, but he's a good man with good intentions whether you agree with his policies and statements or not (he shouldn't have made the Muslim statement even if he believes it).

Someone's got it figured out, and of course that someone is (yet again) not Craig.

The difference between '96 and now is that the economy was surging in '96 and it's tanking now. That's why Clinton was re-elected. Bush the First kicked Saddam's rear in '90-91 and still got bounced in '92 because the economy was poor. Economic issues rule all. Obama is very vulnerable in '12 if only the GOP manages to field a candidate who isn't completely pathetic. So far, it's not looking good.

Yes, the opportunity is there, the people have seen what a big mistake they made putting bozo in there last time, but you have to give them a real way to rectify the mistake or they'll just repeat 2004: "yeah, he's an idiot, but you're not giving me a better choice so we'll stick with the idiot".
